Here’s What You Can Expect

This self-study course runs 12 weeks. During that time you will receive weekly audio and video modules along with weekly workbooks. Also included, are dietary materials, paleo, vegan, and regular recipes for clean eating, as well as fitness recommendations. The program helps establish healthy habits week by week in bite-sized pieces so you don’t become overwhelmed. Take a look below at what the program covers.

WEEK ONE: Establishing a Baseline

Help your client figure out where they currently are in their health journey and where they want to go. We review why it’s important to create a baseline and record starting measurements.

WEEK TWO: Creating Healthful Goals

Help your client create realistic SMART goals that they can work towards and achieve during the 12-week program. These can be physical and/or mental goals.

WEEK THREE: Defining a New Lifestyle
Educate your client and help them make a mental shift to adopt this new healthy lifestyle. This program is all about progress over perfection and creating healthy habits they can continue for a life-time.
WEEK FOUR: Going Off Road
What happens if your client hits a speed bump or gets off track during or after the program. You will be there for them every step of the way to help them get back on track without guilt.
WEEK FIVE: Communities
Community support is so important in helping your client succeed. Help them find health-conscious communities to stay motivated and on track with their journey.
MODULE SIX: Taking Stock & Recommitting
This program isn’t about counting calories or macronutrients, in this module we discuss how to eat mindfully and why journaling can help your client reach their goals faster.
WEEK SEVEN: Renewing Your Purpose
This week’s theme is Renewing your Purpose. It is an opportunity to explore how motivation works for you, and to continue focusing on the reasons it matters for you to successfully complete the program and establish Healthy Habits for life.
WEEK EIGHT: Resilience
Resilience is the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, threats or significant sources of stress – such as family and relationship problems, serious health problems or workplace and financial stressors. This week we provide strategies for building resilience.
WEEK NINE: Stress & Stimulation
When your brain perceives a threat, it signals your body to release a burst of hormones to fuel your capacity for a response. This becomes a problem when when we have non-stop stress and the release is constant. This week we talk about stress and stress management.
WEEK TEN: Self Care
Are we being selfish when we take care of our own happiness? Our society often equates self-care with selfishness; nothing could be further from the truth. This week is all about making time for exercise, preparing healthy meals, resting and creating growth and happiness!
WEEK ELEVEN: Your Environment
It’s important that we learn to take responsibility for everything that surrounds us. Things we use, eat and live with may be causing damage to our bodies and those of our family. This week we discuss creating a healthy home environment for a healthy body.
WEEK TWELVE: Going Forward
This week will focus on behaviors and tips for weight maintenance.

Weight loss programs are designed to make sure you fail in the long-term, so you keep coming back and buying more programs over and over.


TeamSelfCare is here to help you find your optimal health through self-care. Nowhere in that description is a cycle of losing and regaining weight. It feels awful to be stuck in that cycle. If you did that because of my advice, I wouldn’t be doing my job.

So, how do you break the cycle?

You break the cycle by doing something different. By looking at how a doctor would recommend you find your optimal health (because a doctor does with this program) and actually taking that advice. By trusting that science actually works for all of us. By breaking the cycle of restrict/gain weight/restrict/gain weight – forever.


If you are looking for fast weight loss that won’t last, look somewhere else.


This is not a program where you can lose a lot of weight fast and then feel bad when you gain it back again later. This isn’t that type of program because that doesn’t work.

Think about it. If you lose weight… but gain it right back (plus more)… did you really lose weight? Or was it just a gimmick?

That means, if it’s a gimmick, I won’t recommend it.

If it’s not scientifically or medically sound, I won’t bring it to your attention.

If I tell you that a doctor and dietitian have agreed together on a healthy and simple way to lose weight for life – it is the truth. No gimmicks. No extra supplements needed. Just science, consistency, and a willingness to work toward the best version of yourself.

Slow is sustainable. Sustainable is forever.

I wish that I could give you a pill that would make weight and health no longer an issue. The fact is, that doesn’t exist. There is no magic solution to permanently change things overnight. There are, however, a number of methods and techniques that will get you to permanent change over time.

You can achieve sustainable long-term results like:

• Find a healthy weight for your body
• Love your body and its gifts to you
• Eat real food and lose weight
• Support your activity and have energy all day
• Never feel deprived or hungry on your journey to health
